Honda HRX217HXA Lawn Mower Reviews
"I heard Honda is recalling HRX217KHXA lawn mower model with serial numbers between 1400001 through 1453714 because of a fuel tank defect. Read more here http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08077.html"

"This lawn mower is a MACHINE--best lawn mower I have ever owned. I have a difficult yard to cut, and it ran through it like it was a golf course. Easy to maneuver, love the ability to stop the blade and keep the mower running, the mulcher is so efficient it looked like the grass catcher bag was on.
I was hesitant at first because of the cost, but it's superior, and the one of the best decisions I've ever made."
"Disappointed with this mower. Have owned long enough for the warranty to expire on the Xenoy deck, which now has stress cracks around all of the engine mounts and wheels. The engine is about to become loose from the deck due to cracking of this plastic deck. The wheels are plastic, and need to be replaced fairly often due to the very minimal amount of rubber around the plastic wheels. The control cables to engage the hydrostatic drive have needed to be replaced twice already. For 799 you are buying a lot of "features" but not high quality. Best part of this mower is the engine.. which starts every time."
"I would not buy the honda hrx217hma sill like new and my cable broke for the transmission after 2 1/2 years old and called 3 dealers they want over $120.00 to fix, can not figure out how to replace it with out buying a $35.00 repair manual honda is getting a disgusted email from me, have a hr214 12 years old never a problem"
"It could not get any better. This is the best lawn mower I have ever owned.
It cuts excellent! It starts every time."
"I will never buy another Honda mower. I am on my third carburetor, second throttle cable and now my transnission appears to be shot. I paid a lot of money because I thought I was buying the best mower on the market. I was clearly wrong. "
"I have had the HRX217HXA for a little over 4 years. It just broke down for the 2nd time. I can't pull it backwards. The first time it would not self propel. It is now out of warranty and I am not going to have a dealer fix it. I will tear it down today to see what the problem is."
