The Husqvarna YTH20K46 is the only model in the lawn tractor series to feature the Kohler Courage 20 horsepower
engine. The mower features a wider cutting deck at 46 inch as well as a hydrostatic transmission with a forward max speed of 5.5 mph and reverse speed
of 2.4 mph. The mower offers a different option in the middle range of the series.

 "I recently purchased the YTH20K46 at Lowes for 1,599.00 with a 0% intrest for 12 months, which was the selling point. I have to say I am impressed with the features and with this being my first hydrostatic mower, I am very pleased with the performance.
The turning radius is much better than I expected. The combination of the hydrostatic and good turning radius will cut my time mowing considerably even considering this is a smaller model than I previously owned. I have a 20hp 50" Huskee that I mowed with for 5 years. It was having small problems one right after another, so I got the Husqvarna and am much happier with it.
The 20hp Kholer Courage does not have the output of the 20hp v twin Kholer Magnum that I previously owned, but it is sufficient to push the 46" deck. Also the YTH20K46 is a bit "bumpy" to ride. It could be improved with some sort of shock absorbtion system. Overall, I would give this mower an A- and would certainly recommend it. "
"just purchased yth20k46 cut my yard and it looked better than i had expected,I was about to buy a john deere and i remembered how good my industrial husky weed eater workes,plus i cut down this mans trees using his husky chain saw which cut much better than my craftsman(BEST),i guess time will tell, i had little trouble adjusting to the hydrostatic,s haft to be real careful in some areas and not forget the left peddle is not the brakes like some other mowers ,i,me sure after a little driving it i,ll make the necessary adjustments (sweet runing mower)"

"Nice mower. Compared to the MTD Yardman, the only other riding mower I have used, it's a Cadillac for sure. No bogging down in the tall grass that would have stalled the Yardman. Smooth running, great cut. Easy steering, fwd/rev is a clean operation, turn radius is smaller etc. etc. Overall a good choice for me. Well worth the $1500 versus the $1000 for the Yardman."

"Issues with local support are not issues with the tractor. In all likelihood the assembly person buffooned your machine. I have the YTH20K46, 1+ acre to mow, rough (small ruts) and hilly. Works fine, does not stall even when grounding the blades. It is a LAWN tractor, not a GARDEN tractor. If you want to pull stumps buy something else. If you want to mow your lawn this is solid machine and a solid value."
"I bought this mower a month ago and it works great, except that even on level 6, it cuts the grass too short. So I looked at the manual which specifically states that both sides of the deck can be raise, so I went to raise the deck. To my surprise I could only raise the left. The gear to raise the deck is on the right side, is non existant. I went back to Lowes, since I figured I must be missing something. Lowes had a display model of my tractor on the floor. I talked to the so called "Heavy equipment specialist" who after 20 minutes of back and forth proceeded to tell me that maybe it's my lawn's fault, because it's too lush, or that I should have bought the next model up which has gear on both sides, because this one can only b. e raised on the left side, and I should take it up with Husqvarna. So much for customer assistance. I sent an e-mail to Husqvarna, and I'm waiting for a response."
"What a difference. Mower performed extremely well. I have a very uneven yard with quite a few hills and slopes the hydrostatic made it so easy to handle. Engine is very smooth and responds well when power is needed its there. Very happy with my new purchase"

"Bought the YTH20K46 on Sunday, 18 Apr 10. It was display mode. Got home the bat was dead. Charged and while charging put about 1 gal gas in tank. Finally cranked and started immediately. Still in bed at pickup...noticed something liquid in the bed. Stopped engine,checked tank and no gas. Took back to Lowe's. They delivered another one today.It will not start, except with carb cleaner sprayed in the carb, then it dies. I'm on phone now with Lowe's. They offered me a 48" cut and bigger engine for $150 more. I'm not happy at the moment. Always thought the Husqvarna was good as-well-as the Kohler engine. Will try and get back after everything settles."

"this has been to worst purchase of my life. my lawn mower is now three years old and i have spent well over 1000 dollars in parts. i wish i would have invested in a much better lawn mover. these movers, especially the deck and housing parts are made very cheap and break about every other time i mow my lawn. my lawn is like a golf course too. i might would understand this thing breaking all the time if i was mowing a cow pasture. i would not reccommend anyone buy this brand of lawn mover. and never but a lawn mower from lowes, sutherland or home depot. all of there movers are made much cheaper than the ones that the dealers carry. invest wisely. -clint slaten hot springs, ar "
"This is an awful tractor, the mulch kit that Lowes installed completely ruined the deck. Of course they wouldn't do anything to fix it. When I called the closest dealer, one of the first things he asked is where did that mulch kit come from and said it should never have been installed. JUNK DECK NOW"
"Purchased my mower from Lowes in 09. I am having problems with it cutting out and thought that it was the fuel so I change the fuel and changed the oil. I contacted Husqvarna in April of this year since this is when it started. It went away. Today went to cut and it did the same thing. Husqvarna is tough to get a hold off to find a place to work on and Lowes won't work with you either. I am now waiting on Husqvarna support to contact me back about getting this fixed. It sounds horrible"

"Mower runs great cuts the grass and looks like a golf coarse...love it. Easy to maintain and fires up every time without issue. I have to say this is better than my John Deere was. It scalped the lawn in many areas where as this glides right over. Plus this mower was a lot less money than the JD... Very pleased.
