The Husqvarna YTH2454 is on the same level as the Husqvarna YTH2348 but with some increase in some
specs. It is one of the highest models in the lawn tractor series and features a 24 horsepower Briggs & Stratton V-Twin engine, 20" rear tires,
and a bigger 54" cutting deck with triple blades. The hydrostatic transmission allows the lawn tractor to go up to 5.8 mph forward and 2.1 mph in reverse for as long
as the 4 gallon tank can go.
Husqvarna YTH2454 Lawn Mower Reviews
"Just bought one of these, it makes my dads husq look sick and I all ways loved it, this one cuts circles around his with the Kaw engine."
"Just replaced a JD LA 111 with this and am extremely pleased with the difference. The JD was 20 hp 42" deck and did a horrible job on bermuda grass could not keep the deck level either. This sips the gas in spite of its larger B&S motor. Also has grese fittings for mower instead of JD's method of lube - much easier."
"This mower is great. It's powerful, has a decent turn radius, and the hydrostatic transmission, with forward and reverse pedals, while taking a bit of time getting used too, makes mowing fun (so does the cup holder!). If I had anything negative to say about it, it's that the oil filter is difficult to remove with a standard oil filter wrench due to obstructions."
"The mower its self is great but I have to remove the deck after each mowing and clean out the packed in grass. It takes about an hour to scrap out."
"bought a yth2454 last year---what a terrible product. out of 7 cutting positions can use only two. no dealer support at all. will not buy another"
"I refurbish lawn tractors and sell them , my personal tractor is a YTH2454 and it runs circles around anything iv'e worked on including John Deere , i love the power that the B/S Intek motor provides and the precision cutting ability of the mower deck , this is hands down one of the best machines on the market."
"I have owned mine for one year. As a mower it rides rough and uncomfortable. It cuts grass OK but the ride requires me to wear a back brace.
The tractor doesn't have the power and traction to power the snowblower unit. Mine can't even back into the garage. I have to pull it into the garage with a pully system. I gave up using it half way through winter.
I am in the process of trying to get the company that sold it to me to take it back so I can get something that works. "
""I bought this tractor late in the fall just in time for a final mow of the yard and a 'brush hogging' job on my 4 acre pasture. The 54" deck made short work of it and I love the extra HP but the deck mounting instructions were somewhat sucky and I agree with an earlier review about only being able to use a few of the mowing deck heights. Overall it's been good so far and now I'm looking to get a blade for snow removal." "
"This mower is great. Will cut rings around my old polon 42"riding mower. Will cut through tall grass with a breeze. My yard time have been cut in half."
"I have had this lawn tractor for less than 2yrs and have had nothing but problems with it the axle craked due being put together wrong never install bolts on transmission and husqvarna wont cover it under warranty plus it never starts easy and now it wont start and thay wont cover this i think i should have just bought a john deere!!
"
"This tractor was one of the worst investments I have ever made.In the 4 years with only 105 hours it has been in the shop most of the time.Ive had other husky dealers tell me that this mower was bad.And so far the company has shone me that they could care less about their consumer.BEWARE OF THIS TRACTOR!!!!!"
"Awesome lawn tractor! I have a very rough yard and assist other neighbors in mowing for them as well. My grass is thick and varies to weeds as well. This mower has been a real workhorse for me. Easy to maintain as well. The Hydrostatic transmission makes the job so much easier combined with the 18" turning radius makes this machine almost as easy to steer as a zero turn mower. Worth every penny you pay. Around 2G that is."
"I would highly recommend this mower to anyone. Going from a Murray 42" 12.5 hp to the 52" 24 hp, I feel like I'm riding a cadillac! Nothing but top notch quality.."
